McDonald’s looking to use AI for enhancing Business Operations in India

Artificial Intelligence is taking over several sectors in businesses all around the globe and now McDonald’s, one of the biggest fast food giants in the world, is looking to enhance the use of AI in its business as well. It is being reported that the fast food giant is looking to ramp up the use of AI to streamline customer order and enhance the company’s business operations.

A senior executive from McDonald’s, this Friday on August 1st, has stated that the company is planning to “double down” on AI investments for the next couple of years till 2027. The company currently incorporates AI to verify the orders at around 400 restaurants in India. This helps them in catching as well as correcting errors before the food is handed out to the customers.

The Head of Global Business Services Operations at McDonald’s, Deshant Kaila has stated that the fast food chain is planning to introduce a new system globally in the coming two years. He has clarified that the plan is still in its early stages and thus there is no exact number around the investment has been finalised as of yet.

“We’re still in the early stages, so it’s hard to pin down the exact investment,” Kaila said while he was at an event in Hyderabad, India.

Other than the order accuracy front, McDonald’s leverages AI to predict their sales, determine their pricing strategies and evaluate the performance of their products all around. The reports have also suggested that the company is planning on developing a personalized mobile app that will function across multiple countries.

As per the reports, India is going to play a key role in the company’s global tech strategies. They have emphasized how the country has grown on to become a market that will provide them critical support for their operations and strategies that they plan to work at the global level.
