After the third test of Anderson Tendulkar Trophy, the Indian team has a healthy gap before they play against England at the fabled Old Trafford in Manchester. The players were recently seen in a training session at the Kent Cricket Ground where they seemed very relaxed with some banter going around between the players.

Just three days after the heartbreaking defeat at the Lord’s, the Indian players didn’t look much excited when they reached their hotels in Beckenham but their spirits felt a lot better once they had some rest. When they came out for the training sessions they seemed light in their steps and high in spirits. Senior players like Rishabh Pant and Jasprit Bumrah were seen sharing a laugh and involved in a light banter.

A lot of the change in mood could be associated with the variety of music played in the dressing room as well as in the training session, ranging from Hanuman Chalisa, English pop to popular Punjabi songs, depending on who vibes on what. Someone who needs to meditate and calm himself down a bit might listen to a more spiritual track while someone who is looking to lift their mood up might be hooked on to high energy dance numbers.

While they were practicing, a scribe tried to have a conversation with India’s Vice-captain Pant. Pant with the music playing in the background couldn’t hear anything the person was saying and replied in hindi saying, “Kuch sunai nahi de raha hai (I can’t hear anything).”

However, Jasprit Bumrah found the situation funny and cracked a joke at Pant’s expense. He said, “Aaj Duggal Ji behere hain (Duggal Ji is deaf today).” This was a reference to a famous scene from the movie, Mujhse Shaadi Karogi starring Akshay Kumar, Salman Khan and Priyanka Chopra in lead roles.
