Scarlett Johansson’s “Jurassic Park: Rebirth” has stormed the Indian box office, becoming the second-biggest Hollywood hit of 2025 in the country after surpassing Brad Pitt’s “F1.” The dinosaur action spectacle amassed an impressive Rs 73 crore in just 10 days, overtaking “F1,” which had collected Rs 69.75 crore over 17 days. The film now trails only Tom Cruise’s “Mission: Impossible – The Final Reckoning,” which remains the year’s top Hollywood grosser in India.
The film’s box office journey began with a robust Rs 9.25 crore opening Friday, followed by Rs 13.5 crore on Saturday and Rs 16.25 crore on Sunday, culminating in a week-one total of Rs 55 crore. “Jurassic Park: Rebirth” maintained its momentum into the second weekend, adding another Rs 18 crore, a testament to its sustained popularity and strong word-of-mouth. The movie’s success has been attributed to its multi-language release—including Hindi, English, Tamil, and Telugu—and Johansson’s enduring star power, which drew audiences from across the country.
Industry analysts note that “Jurassic Park: Rebirth” has not only outperformed several recent Hollywood releases but has also contributed to a booming month for English-language films in India, with July’s Hollywood box office collections already exceeding Rs 150 crore. The film’s stellar performance comes amid stiff competition from other major releases, including James Gunn’s “Superman,” which debuted with Rs 24.94 crore in its opening weekend.
Globally, “Jurassic Park: Rebirth” has also proven to be a powerhouse, grossing over $367 million worldwide and cementing its place as one of the top earners in the franchise’s history. With its rapid ascent, the film is now being closely watched to see if it can challenge the Rs 100 crore mark in India and potentially dethrone “Mission: Impossible” as the year’s highest-grossing Hollywood film in the country.
