Meenakshi A. Hirani PA proudly announced that Arti Ajit Hirani has been sworn in as the next President of The Florida Bar Young Lawyers Division (YLD) during The Florida Bar’s 75th Annual Convention. Hirani is the second Indian-American to lead the YLD, marking another significant milestone for Florida’s legal community. This follows her prior service as the first Indian-American and youngest President of the Orange County Bar Association.

“This is not only a deeply personal moment for me, but an important reflection of the changing face of Florida’s legal community,” said Hirani. “I am committed to creating a more accessible Young Lawyers Division that supports our members at every stage of their careers.”

The YLD, in partnership with The Florida Bar Board of Governors, will also launch a new statewide legal job fair later this year, aimed at expanding career development, mentorship, and leadership opportunities for Florida’s young lawyers. The Florida Bar is a mandatory, unified bar; membership in the YLD is automatic for all Florida Bar members under age 36 or in their first five years of practice.

“Arti Hirani is an incredible lawyer, a superb leader and a dear friend. I am immensely honored and excited to share this journey with Arti, as we work collectively to enhance and improve this great profession. I look forward to all that we will accomplish together,” said Sia Baker-Barnes, incoming President of The Florida Bar.
