One of the biggest, if not the biggest superstar of the Indian film industry, Amitabh Bachchan has been known for his social media presence and interactions with his fans and trolls. One such incident happened recently when Big B gave a befitting reply to one of his trolls who took a dig at his age and questioned his sanity.
This Monday Mr. Bachchan posted on his official X handle, Ji Huzur, mai bhi ek prashansak hu. Toh? (Yes sir, I am a fan too.. So?)” The netizens were quick to react to the tweet and some of them started taking a dig at the legendary star.
People claimed that they were annoyed by his voice warning them of cyber crimes on calls. A user commented, “Ab log apke awaz sunna pasand nahi kar rahe hai calls se pareshan hai awaz se (People are now getting annoyed with your voice on calls).” But Big B was quick to punch the bag at him and wrote, “Sarkaar se kaho (Say that to the government).”
Some of the users were not even subtle with the insults and crossed all boundaries commenting on his age and sanity. A troll wrote, “Buddha sathiya gaya (He has gone senile).” But the actor didn’t stoop down at the trolls level and said, “Ek din bhagwan na karein who jaldi aaye, ap bhi sathiya jaayenge. Parantu humarein yaha kahawat hai – jo satha, who patha (God forbid it comes soon – you will grow senile. But we have a saying here – ‘The older, the wiser’).”
Another user commented on Mr. Bachchan’s logic and attitude and wrote, “Thoda logic lagaiye, itna attitude toh calculator bhi nahi dikhata (Put some thoughts to yours tweets, even calculator doesn’t have so much attitude).”
To this, Amitabh Bachchan gave a witty reply and said, “Apka calculator bhi apke baarein mein yehi keh raha hai (Your calculator says the same about you) – overthinking!”
Amitabh Bachchan is set to feature alongside Deepika Padukone in the remake of R Balki’s ‘The Intern’. The actor was last seen in Rajnikanth’s ‘Vettaiyan’, an action-drama directed by TJ Gnanavel and produced by Subaskaran Allirajah.
