Tesla all set to open its first showroom in India in mid-July

The Tesla Inc. is finally all set to open its first showroom in India and as per the reports it is going to be sometime in mid-July. The company has been preparing hard in India for quite a while and will now open its first showroom in Mumbai.

It is being reported that the company will export its cars from its manufacturing outlet in China. The giants of the electric vehicle industry will be setting their first foot in the Indian markets and it is reported that their first set of cars have already arrived in the country.

Tesla will be debuting with the Model Y rear-wheel drive SUVs which will be shipped from its factory in China. The Elon Musk led company is looking to grow its market in the world’s third leading automobile market, India. It is being speculated that the firm is doing this in expectations of a high growth amongst dipping sales in Europe and China.

It is also being reported that the electric vehicle brand has also imported Supercharger components, car accessories, merchandise and spares from different countries. The parts are coming from the countries like the United States of America, China and the Netherlands as per the reports.

With this launch, Tesla will finally end their ongoing saga of entering the Indian market which was being rescheduled time and time again. Musk has long been wanting to enter the Indian markets but has been hesitant because of the tariffs and local manufacturing.

It is being stated that the decision to debut the Tesla in India has been taken after Elon Musk had a meeting with the Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi in the United States four months ago in February.
