One of the biggest movie stars of the Indian Film Industry, Prabhas is shooting for India’s biggest horror-comedy, Raja Saab. The movie is set to be one of the biggest films in the industry and has brought in a haunted 200-year-old palace to life.
As the movie is going to be shot on a larger scale and the palace will do nothing but add on to that even more. The 200-year-old palace is located just a few kilometers from Hyderabad. It is a huge palace spanning across 42,000 square feet and has the perfect hand-built structure that will provide the movie a more realistic feel rather than any palace created using VFX.
The palace looks perfect for the movie as many of the rooms look like they were taken directing from a gothic novel. The palace contains a black magic room with real fire burning, a torture chamber, a sprawling library, eerie corridors lined with hanging roots, and bedrooms that could belong to a forgotten royal.
The Director of the movie, Maruthi was talking about the movie going to a grander stage with the addition of this palace. He stated that the palace will play a crucial role by bringing in a unique visual appeal and will be a character in itself. He said that the movie is being headlined by Prabhas so it will be larger than life.
“It’s a Prabhas film. Everything had to be larger than life, just like the actor. That’s what the audience expects, and that’s what we’ve created,” Maruthi said.
The production team was asked how they got inspiration for the mansion. They revealed, “Old houses we’ve seen while traveling, books we’ve read – all of that shaped this palace. It’s a huge team effort. I get the credit, but over 1,000 people worked on this, and countless drafts and sketches were made before we arrived at the final design.”
