The highly awaited movie ‘Aap Jaisa Koi’ starring veteran actor R. Madhavan and Fatima Sana Shaikh have finally got a release date. The movie’s first look was released a few months ago but there was no date announced for the release of the movie. The date has now been finalised and the movie will now release on 11th July 2025.
It is being reported that the movie is all set to release on an OTT platform rather than big screen and will be available on Netflix. The movie’s first look had already created heavy excitement amongst the fans. The fans are glad to see R. Madhavan back in the romantic comedy genre, a genre which he has excelled in.
Vivek Soni, who is the director of the film, was asked about what the movie was based around. Soni stated that the movie is about breaking free from the walls we build around ourselves and showcases how one can embrace their vulnerability. The director also talked about working with Netflix again after his last venture working with the OTT platform.
“It’s about embracing the awkwardness and vulnerability of love. It quietly questions the roles we fall into in relationships and reflects the quiet courage it takes to truly let someone in. Working with Netflix again after Meenakshi Sundareshwar has been a fulfilling experience, and I’m excited to present a love story that’s tender, messy, and intimate, one that embraces vulnerability without losing its charm and breeziness.”

The movie will be starring R Madhavan as Shrirenu who a reserved Sanskrit teacher is, and Fatima Sana Shaikh will be playing the role of Madhu, a spirited French instructor. The movie is going to showcase the coming together of two opposites in a story that’s as much about family and belonging as it is about romance.
