The Air India plane crash in Ahmedabad has impacted many around the country very deeply. Many people have felt the sadness and the tragic incident has taken a toll on them. One such person is Bollywood actress and fashion designer, Mandira Bedi who revealed that she had to reach out to a counsellor for help as she was distressed from the Ahmedabad crash.

Bedi shared a video message through her instagram account talking about the impact of the aftermath of the Air India plane crash. She said that the incident had left a lingering sadness in her heart which she couldn’t shake. The actress revealed that she had to talk to her counsellor as the news was taking a toll on her and even though it was not loud for everyone to know it was impacting her day to day life.

“There’s been this constant weight on my chest ever since the Ahmedabad plane crash. A kind of sadness that won’t leave. It’s not loud, but it’s there in the background of everything. My work, my time with my kids.”

She told her fans that at a time like this many people don’t really share their feelings or ask for help when they are in dire need of it. She stated that people should not think that they are alone in such times and can reach out to their closed ones and seek help.

“So, I decided to talk to someone. A counsellor, just to make sense of it all and not hold it all alone. If you’re feeling the same way, anxious, low, off balance, please know this, you’re not alone. It’s okay to feel what you’re feeling. It’s more than okay to ask for help,” she added.

The Air India’s Boeing 787-8 Dreamliner aircraft which took off from Ahmedabad for London’s Gatwick airport crashed just moments after it took flight. Out of 242 people that boarded the flight only 1 survived as the plane landed on a hostel of the BJ Medical College campus. The crash took the lives of 29 others including 5 medical students who lived there.
