After the recent conflicts with Pakistan, there were high expectations on what would happen when the two arch-rivals collided in a cricket match. The schedule for the Women’s ODI World Cup has been released and India is going to face Pakistan on October 5th at the neutral venue of R Premadasa Stadium in Colombo, Sri Lanka.

The Women’s ODI World Cup is going to kick start on September 30th with a battle between the two hosts, India and Sri Lanka, at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru, India. India is going to face their neighbors Bangladesh in a clash on October 26th in Bengaluru.

Just like what happened in the Champions Trophy 2025 where India played its matches in the UAE, Pakistan is not going to come to India and play all its fixtures in Sri Lanka. This is after both the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) and the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) have got a hybrid model agreement which will allow them to have all their fixtures in Sri Lanka. They will be facing Bangladesh on October 2nd, England on October 15th, New Zealand on October 18th, South Africa on October 21st, and Sri Lanka on October 24th.

This will be the 13th edition of the Women’s ODI World Cup which will begin from 30th September to 2nd November. There will be eight teams competing in the tournament – India, Australia, England, South Africa, New Zealand, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, and Pakistan. The Australian team will be one of the favourites in the tournament as they are the defending champions and have won the cup 7 out of the 12 times.

The tournament will be held in a total of 5 venues out of which 4 are in India and one is in Sri Lanka. The venues will be M Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru, ACA Stadium in Guwahati, Holkar Stadium in Indore, ACA-VDCA Stadium in Visakhapatnam, and R. Premadasa Stadium in Colombo.
