The External Affairs Minister of India, Mr. S Jaishankar has made his views clear on India’s dispute with Pakistan. He has warned the neighboring country that if they ever try to provoke India with any further terror activities the reply won’t be quiet and would retaliate with force.

The India-Pakistan conflict last month was the hot topic in the world as two nuclear-powered nations budded heads against each other for the better part of the week. India stated its stance clearly that they won’t tolerate terrorism anymore. They would not shy away to cut deep and root out terrorists from wherever they hide if any future attacks are reported.

Mr. Jaishankar said, “We are not going to live with it. So our message to them is that if you continue to do the kind of barbaric acts which they did in April, then there is going to be retribution, and that retribution will be against the terrorist organisations and the terrorist leadership, We don’t care where they are. If they are deep in Pakistan, we will go deep into Pakistan.”

Jaishankar gave these statements while he was in Brussels on his week-long trip to Europe. He confirmed that India stands completely against terrorism. According to the minister, India and Pakistan can’t see eye to eye unless they continue to harbour terrorists in their nation. He said, “If you call the commitment to terrorism a source of tension, absolutely, it is.”

The minister was also asked about the damages that the Indian military force has faced during the exchange of attacks between both nations. Jaishankar refrained from answering and said it would be better for the military personnel to talk about it. But he assured that the damages were “far more extensive” on the Pakistani Air Force in comparison to what India had to bear and that is why Pakistan asked for peace.
