The fans of Kapil Sharma have been given a huge surprise by Netflix as they have announced Navjot Singh Sidhu will be part of the third season of The Great Indian Kapil Show. The former cricket star and politician have been alongside Kapil Sharma’s repertoire in his former shows like Comedy Nights with Kapil, The Kapil Sharma Show, and Family Time With Kapil Sharma.
Netflix shared the news on June 9th through a post on their social media account through a teaser. The teaser showed Archana Puran Singh getting shocked by the return of Sidhu to Kapil’s show. They have played on a running gag of the show where Kapil threatens to replace Archana by Sidhu time and time again.
“Ek kursi paaji ke liye please. Har Funnyvaar Badhega Humara Parivaar with the comeback of Navjot Singh Sidhu & Archana Puran Singh. Watch them in the new season of The Great Indian Kapil Show, streaming from 21st June, at 8 PM only on Netflix,” Netflix’s post read.
Sidhu also gave a statement on him reuniting with the great comedian and said, “Coming to The Great Indian Kapil Show feels like I’m coming home again. It is a home run for me. We heard the voice of the people, so many fans and well wishers who loved our interactions and wanted to see more.”
He added, “I’m delighted that Netflix has managed to bring this bouquet of beautiful people together and we will bloom this season for audiences worldwide. A smile doesn’t cost you a cent, but it is worth millions of dollars and The Great Indian Kapil Show is an instrument of god’s goodwill to bring happiness to mankind – honoured to be part of it again.”
The host of the popular show, Kapil Sharma also gave a statement on the third season of the show. He said, “I’m so excited to have Sidhu paaji part of the family along with Archana ji to enjoy all the jokes, the shayaris and fun. The stage is set, so stay tuned because this season jokes and laughter both have tripled.”
The Great Indian Kapil Show season three is all set to return to the streaming platform at 8 PM on June 21st. The show will also feature other performers like Sunil Grover, Krushna Abhishek, and Kiku Sharda returning to the series.
