If someone would have told us that at the end of the road of this season Punjab Kings and Royal Challengers Bengaluru will be facing each other to break their curse and win the first ever IPL championship after 18 years, hardly anyone would have believed it. But it has been their season so far, the teams that finished at the top 2 of the points table will be the one battling it out in the final of the Indian Premier League.
Fans of both teams are on their toes as their team has reached the final after a long wait. RCB last played a final 9 years ago in 2016 whereas PBKS last played in IPL final 11 years back in 2014. The buzz around the finals seems unmatched as this time there will definitely be a new champion crowned this season.
People have now started asking AI on which of the two teams is going to win between the two just to get their hopes high for the final. When asked about their predictions for the finals all three AI platforms – Grok, Gemini, and ChatGPT have given out a rather similar result.
When Grok (on X) was asked about the predictions it stated that according to available data it feels that RCB has an edge over PBKS and are more likely to clinch the title this year. RCB’s current form and team dynamic might give them the upper hand. Josh Hazlewood and Suyash Sharma have stabilised their bowling unit while Virat Kohli as always has anchored one end of their batting while others have stepped up in different games.
Gemini on the other hand was very skeptical about its predictions. According to the AI, while RCB hold an edge in the recent encounters this season and have performed dominantly, PBKS have been resilient in their approach and after the loss in Qualifier 1 have bounced back, beating Mumbai Indians and reaching the finals. Gemini thinks it will be a close encounter between the two teams and to pick between them is a tough call. But if it is forced to take a call it will go with RCB to win it all this year.
ChatGPT however thought that Shreyas Iyer’s sublime form and PBKS’ gritty nature will pose a serious threat to RCB’s dream of lifting a cup. Iyer, who played an unreal knock and carried his team to the finals beating MI in the second qualifier, will also be looking to get PBKS their first championship. But ChatGPT has predicted that RCB will take away the trophy by a narrow victory in the final.
