New York, NY

A much-needed briefing by Consulate General of India in New York was organized to share facts about the Pahalgam gruesome killing of 26 innocent tourists from different parts of India on the basis of religion. In a swift response, Indian government notified Pakistan about the Pahalgam terror attack and sought action on terrorists residing in various cities of Pakistan.

In the past, several such requests have been ignored by Pakistan. So, Indian government increased the pressure by stopping water flow of Indus river to Pakistan but it went in vain. While India received global support and sympathy for families of innocent victims coming from leaders of most countries except for Turkey and Azerbaijan, Pakistan did not take any action.

As an anticipated plan of action, India attacked several facilities in Pakistan, which are known as hideouts and training centers for extremists. In order to avoid any escalation, Indian attack stayed clear of military facilities and civilian areas. In utter disappointment to India, Pakistan still did not act on terrorists and perpetrators of terror attacks in India.

Pakistan, rather, chose to attack Indian military installations and civilian areas with full force. However, India was fully prepared and Indian Army responded with precision strikes, damaging airbases and other security installations in Pakistan.

CGI, New York categorically mentioned that there was no third-party involvement in the ceasefire between India and Pakistan.
