Indian Singer and Music Composer, Rahul Vaidya has been in the limelight recently after his comments on Virat Kohli after which he was blocked by the star cricketer. On Saturday, through his Instagram story, Vaidya revealed that he had been finally unblocked by Kohli. The Indian singer thanked Kohli for his gesture and even hailed him as one of the best batters in the world.
Vaidya wrote, “Thanks, Virat Kohli, for unblocking me. You are one of the best batsmen cricket has ever seen and aap India ka garv ho! (You are India’s Pride) Jai Hind. God bless you and your family.”
He also addressed the fans who hurled abuses at him in a post which read, “Also the immature people who abused my wife and sister, morphed my lil girl’s pics and sent so many abuses to me and my loved ones and are still continuing to do so. May god grant you some goodwill. I can write the same and even worse things to you but I won’t because it will only increase negativity which takes us nowhere!”
The singer had been facing heavy criticism and trolling ever since he made some sarcastic comments on Virat Kohli’s alleged instagram glitch. The star player’s fans were fuming at him and hurled insults not only at him but on his wife and young daughter as well. This rubbed Rahul the wrong way and he lashed at the cricketer’s so-called fans calling them complete jokers.
Vaidya put up a story saying, “Virat Kohli’s fans are even bigger jokers than Virat! And now you are abusing me, that’s fine but you are abusing my wife and my sister. who have nothing to do with this! So, I was right. That’s why you all Virat Kohli fans, are jokers!”
All the drama started when Virat Kohli’s mere like on actress Avneet Kaur’s post started a buzz around social media. Former Indian Captain explained through his instagram post that it was an algorithm glitch from Instagram’s end and nothing else.
Vaidya commented on the situation, taking a dig at Kohli saying, “I want to say that going forward, the algorithm might like many photos which I didn’t do. So, the girls, please don’t do PR around it because it is not my mistake. It is Instagram’s mistake, okay?” Vaidya was blocked by Kohli after this post on which the singer again commented sarcastically saying that it might’ve been an algorithm glitch.
