The world-renowned Cannes Festival has taken the center stage of all news from the media industry. Many Bollywood celebrities attended the event and graced the red carpet. One actress that made headlines through her stunning look and elegance with which she carried herself was the 17-year-old Nitanshi Goel.
The young Laapata Ladies star made her debut on the red carpet and grabbed everyone’s attention in the event. Nitanshi showed up in two different looks in the event and according to netizens she slayed in both her looks.
First, Nitanshi dawned an ivory saree when she made an appearance at the Indian Pavilion at Cannes. The young star represented her culture and heritage at the global stage elegantly carrying the saree. But what grasped everyone’s attention was the hair pins that she had put on to pay homage to the leading ladies of Indian cinema. The pins had the faces attached of some of the most iconic bollywood actresses like Madhubala, Meena Kumari, Rekha, Waheeda Rehman, Sridevi, Nutan, Hema Malini, and Vyjanthimala. She was styled by Shrey and Urja for the day, and they kept her accessories minimal.
Later at the red carpet, Nitanshi looked like royalty as she wore a Black gown adorned with gold embroidery on it. It was a custom creation by Jade by Monica and Karishma and brought out the Indian craftsmanship to the global stage. The gown was crafted with Kasab embroidery and delicate macrame on a sheer black fabric. The gown also had a black tulle base, heavily embellished with gold floral embroidery, added a dramatic flair to the outfit. The gown’s enhanced hip structure gives it a more picturesque look from the 18th century.
The young star from Bollywood also gave an interview on the red carpet explaining how excited she was feeling and what an honor it was to represent India at the global stage. She said, “I am feeling very excited. I have butterflies in my stomach. Oh my God! This really feels like a dream come true. It feels incredibly special to be here at Cannes this year. It’s my first time, and I am feeling very overwhelmed, and very grateful to be able to represent India on the global stage.”
