India is making history becoming the first country after the United Kingdom, hosting back to back two Miss World Pageant Events. This year’s event will take place in Hyderabad on May 31, 2025, at the HITEX Exhibition Centre. To showcase the special heritage site of Hyderabad to the world, 109 contestants representing different countries will participate in a Heritage Walk on Tuesday, 13th May 2025 at the Charminar.
The Miss World Pageant contestants will arrive at the location in four special buses and will be welcomed with traditional Marfa music, showcasing the roots of the city. The contestant will then have a special photoshoot with the iconic monument.
After the photo session is done the contestants will visit the Laad Bazar (Chudi Bazar) where they will be taken on a shopping spree curated by the organizers of the event. In this curated shopping spree, they will visit nine selected shops that are famous for their bangles, pearls and ornaments. The contestants will also get a chance to witness real-time bangle-making offering them a unique experience.
Earlier, the contestants of the Miss World Pageant also visited the Budhavanam on the auspicious occasion of Budha Purnima. Budhavanam is a world-renowned Buddhist heritage site which is situated in Nagarjunsagar in Telangana’s Nalgonda district. The site that is set against the tranquil backdrop of the Maha Stupa, offered the delegates of different countries a deep cultural and spiritual immersion into Buddhist heritage.
This year, the 21-year-old model Nandani Gupta from Rajasthan will be representing India in the 72nd Miss World Pageant 2025. Nandani was crowned as the Femina India World in 2023 and will be looking forward to achieving the same in this event also and wear the crown for India. In the history of the event there have been 6 Miss World Winners who have represented India with the last one being Manushi Chillar who wore the crown in 2017.
