The tensions between the two bordering nations India and Pakistan have de-escalated a bit since the agreement of a ceasefire was finalised on 10th May, 2025. After Pakistan’s DGMO contacted the Indian officials to initiate the offer and the agreement was finalised. India has since held several press conferences where their military personnel have given out details of their Operation Sindoor.
Air Marshal A K Bharti, the DG Air Operations reported during the press conference that Pakistan’s military forces used missiles that originated in China. He assured that all the missiles missed their targets and no major harm was caused. The military showed the debris of a PL-15 air-to-air missile fired by the Pakistani military which missed its target.
The Indian military forces also confirmed that any claims of their military base being destroyed by the neighboring nations were false. He stated that all the military bases and systems are fully operational and ready for any future missions if necessary.
The Army on May 12 informed the nation that there were no attacks in the night at Jammu and Kashmir or any region, marking the first instance of a peaceful night in the past few days. The military officials said, “The night remained largely peaceful across Jammu and Kashmir and other areas along the International Border. No incidents have been reported, marking the first calm night in recent days.”
Marshal A K Bharti praised the Indian defence system and said that all the attacks that were made by the bordering nations were unsuccessful. Our defence systems intercepted the attacks and secured the safety of the nation. Pakistan targeted 36 locations across the regions ranging from Jammu and Kashmir to Gujarat, sending around 300-400 Turkish drones to attack. No major harm was caused as the robust Indian defence system thwarted them.
The military has clearly said that their fight was against terrorism and Operation Sindoor was just a retaliation for the horrific terrorist attack in Pahalgam. They mentioned that India was just targeting terrorist base camps but because the Pakistani military forces chose to assist them, the conflict got escalated further.
