Karan Johar slams Ozempic rumours; Reveals he is battling Body Dysmorphia

In recent times one of the major topics of discussion in the entertainment media is the shocking body transformation of Karan Johar. The famous Indian filmmaker has always been in the limelight and his recent weight loss has been the talk of the town for a while in the media industry. Johar recently made an appearance on Raj Shamani’s podcast ‘Figuring Out’ and talked about his weight loss journey and health issues. He also addressed the rumours regarding the usage of any weight-reducing drugs to shed the extra pounds.

Addressing his weight loss, Johar revealed that he has been battling a condition called ‘Body Dysmorphia’. In this condition a person doesn’t feel comfortable in their body and doesn’t really like their body. He said that he felt so awkward in his body that he was not able to look at himself in the mirror and even to this day he struggles with the same.

“I do suffer from body dysmorphia. It’s when you feel ashamed of your own body. When you feel awkward without clothes on. I go through that even now. I can’t even look at myself in the mirror,” Johar said while talking to Raj Shamani.

He also talked about the speculations regarding his usage of weight loss drugs such as Ozempic and Mounjaro which surfaced after his last few appearances. Johar explained that people have no idea of his struggles with his health and how hard he works to maintain a healthy diet. He said, “Now people ask me, ‘Are you on Mounjaro? Are you on Ozempic?’ I am tired of these comments. People don’t know my truth. You don’t know.”

Johar explained that he has recently been diagnosed with thyroid issues and has been battling ‘bulge’ issues for a long time now. He also said that he has tried many diets to lead a healthier lifestyle but none of those really worked out for him but now he has finally started to feel confident in his skin.
