In a resounding show of support, prominent film personalities across India have hailed the Indian armed forces for the successful execution of ‘Operation Sindoor’-a series of missile strikes targeting terror bases in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Kashmir. The operation was launched in retaliation to the recent terror attack in Pahalgam, Jammu & Kashmir, which claimed the lives of 26 civilians and sparked nationwide outrage.
Bollywood stars including Akshay Kumar, Kangana Ranaut, Allu Arjun, Suniel Shetty, and Riteish Deshmukh took to social media to express their solidarity with the armed forces. Akshay Kumar posted, “Jai Hind. Jai Mahakaal,” while Kangana Ranaut, who also serves as a Member of Parliament, reiterated the government’s zero-tolerance stance on terrorism, wishing safety and success to the forces. Allu Arjun, star of ‘Pushpa’, wrote, “May justice be served. Jai Hind #OperationSindoor.”
Filmmaker Shekhar Kapur praised the precision and responsibility of the operation, stating that India’s response showed the world its confidence and restraint. Suniel Shetty and Riteish Deshmukh echoed calls for “zero tolerance” and “total justice,” emphasizing national unity in the face of terror.
The strikes, which reportedly hit nine terror targets including a major Jaish-e-Mohammad base in Bahawalpur, followed a high-level meeting where Prime Minister Narendra Modi granted the armed forces “complete operational freedom” to respond to the Pahalgam attack.
Other celebrities such as Madhur Bhandarkar, Nimrat Kaur, and Anupam Kher also voiced their support, underscoring the unity and resolve of the nation. As the country continues to mourn the victims of the Pahalgam attack, the film fraternity’s vocal backing of Operation Sindoor reflects a broader sentiment of solidarity and national pride.
