The state of Gujarat has welcomed the country’s first Tesla Cybertruck with the US-based firm is gearing up for an official launch in India very soon. The owner of the Cybertruck is Lavji Daliya, a businessman from Gujarat, who imported the stylish EV from Dubai.

The electric pickup is the first of its kind in India and features shiny stainless steel panels. Based on the wheel design, it seems that the variant is the top-of-the-line Cyberbeast model. This version features a tri-motor configuration with an all-wheel-drive setup, allowing the three electric motors to produce a combined output of 834 horsepower. Tesla claims that the Cyberbeast can accelerate from 0 to 98 km/h in just 2.6 seconds and offers a range of 484.4 km on a single charge.

The vehicle is reportedly bulletproof against 9 mm bullets and has a massive road presence with an overall length of 5.87 meters. Characterized by flat lines and simple interior styling, the truck also has a central infotainment touchscreen to manage all its functionalities.

The Tesla Cybertruck is available in three versions: Long Range, All-Wheel Drive, and Cyberbeast with the last one being the most powerful model in the lineup, offering an estimated range of 514 km on a single charge.

It is important to note that Tesla’s Test mules of Model Y and Model 3 have already been spotted on Indian roads, hinting these two to be the first ones to be launched officially. The more expensive models, such as the Model S and Model X, are expected to arrive in India at a later date. The first showroom of the automaker will reportedly open in BKC, Mumbai.
