Legendry Actor Anupam Kher is all set for his second directorial venture, ‘Tanvi The Great’ and has roped in slew of talented singers to add to the rising buzz around the movie.
With the Oscar-winning MM Keeravani taking the musical helm of the film, star singers Sonu Nigam, Shaan, Vishal Mishra, Raj Pandits, Ramya Behara and Nayana Nair have also boarded Kher’s second Bollywood product. Along with them, Shagun Sodhi and Gomati Iyer will be making their singing debut with the movie.
Taking to X to share the exciting news, Kher, said, “With the magic of Keeravani sir we have the most melodious music for #TanviTheGreat. And our singers are a great mix of legends and new comers. #SonuNigam and #Shaan are personal friends apart from being great legendary singers. Vishal Mishra is a sensational singer! (sic),” he wrote.
His directorial also has an English track recorded by Kumar Sanu’s daughter Shannon K and Dirty Grim. “There is a special singer Ms. Kumudwathi Aparajitha! Album also includes a soulful song my Keeravani sir himself! My heart and soul – both are singing! Waiting for the world to listen to these unbelievable voices! Jai Ho (sic),” he added.
Kher directed his first film, Om Jai Jagdish, in 2002, talking about which said, “”It took me 23 years to wear a #Director t-shirt again! I loved directing the first film #OmJaiJagdish. The ability I had. I made the film accordingly. But the story of that movie wasn’t mine,” wrote Anupam.
Produced by Anupam Kher Studio and NDFC, Tanvi The Great stars Iain Glen, Sammy Jonas Heaney, and Vrinda Kher. The film is expected to have a world premiere at the Cannes Film Festival this year.
