Senior Club Chicago, USA celebrated Ram Navami with great pomp and show on 23 March 2025 with more than 200 members,
The program was started by Pinkiben Dineshbhai Thakkar with Ganesh Vandana, afterwards a puja was performed on the occasion of the birthday of President Shri Nareshbhai Shah’s wife Late Shri Bharatiben Shah, in which her daughters Mishaben Shah and Avaniben Shah also participated.
Then, as part of celebration of Ram Navami, Kanubhai Patel as Ram, Hansaben Patel as Sita, Mukeshbhai Mehta as Laxman and Jai Prakashbhai Shah as Hanuman were given a rousing welcome with a banging dhol.
Mitalben Patel, during the program, invited Sarojben Patel for presenting Ramdhun. Sarojben sang a beautiful Ramdhun composed by her. Later, Rujutaben Pancholi explained the glory of celebrating Ram Navami.
To celebrate another Hindu festival, Mahavir Jayanti, Navkar Mantra was recited by Geetaben Shah and her group.
The entertainment event started with the Senior Talent Show being organized by Senior Club USA.
To make the program livelier and more entertaining, solo songs were performed by Kantilal Patel, Hareshbhai Thakkar, Vasudevbhai Thakkar. Rupalben and Sarangbhai Shah also sang beautiful song. Later, Hansaben performed a very beautiful dance.
To continue with the excitement generated, Jayashreeben Detroja’s group also presented a beautiful song. Jayashreeben Pandya, Diptiben Mehta and Rupalben Shah performed a very beautiful dance. The event was also attended by Chicago’s News Journalist Jayanti Oza.
The Chairperson of the club Pinkiben Dineshbhai Thakkar, President Shri Naresh Shah, Vice President Rameshbhai Punatar, Secretary Mukeshbhai Mehta, Treasurer Mitalben Patel and Board Members Avaniben Shah, Birjuben Shah, Ritaben Shah, Jayshreeben Pandya, Leelaben Patel, Neelamben Patel, and Madhuriben Thakar worked very hard to make this program a grand success.
