Indian Seniors of Chicago Celebrated Valentine’s Day and Birthdays for ISC Members on Saturday, February 8, 2025, along with the general meeting of Indian Seniors of Chicago held at Mahalaxmi Hall of Manav Seva Mandir, in which about 360 members attended. The meeting was successfully conducted by Navinbhai Patel. In the start, Bhupendra and Geeta Suthar and other members recited Ganesh stuti and Shri Hanuman Chalisa.

Bhupendra Suthar requested the members whose birthday fell in the month of February to come forward. Flowers were presented to the members by Manjulaben Patel and Urmilaben Patel. All ISC members wished them a happy birthday by singing the song “Baar Baar Ye Din Aaye Happy Birthday To You.”
Kantibhai Patel, Vice President of the organization, explained the importance of regular yoga and exercise to the seniors. He explained how balanced food, adequate sleep, positive thoughts, adequate water, and regular exercise helps in a healthy life.

After that, Shri C. V. Desai provided information about the ongoing Mahakumbh at Prayagraj. He said that the Kumbh Mela is organized at Nashik, Ujjain, Haridwar and Prayagraj where the drops from the Amrit Kalash fell when the ocean was churned by the gods and demons. Prayagraj’s Mahakumbh is happening after 144 years, in which about 40 crore Hindus are likely to take part from 13th January to 26th February. He also informed about the facilities that have been provided in the Mahakumbh.
A special program was organized to celebrate Valentine’s Day by singing love songs wherein the theme of Sanatan Dharma was encouraged. In the program, Hemantbhai Modi, Jayesh and Neelam Shah, Durgesh and Alpa Shah and Gopis, Malini Mehta, Kantibhai and Hasuben Patel, Purnima Baman, Bhupendra and Gita Suthar, Jashwant Sheth, Ashwin Thakkar, Pravin and Sudha Gandhi, Dilip and Leena Patel sang and performed beautiful songs. Radhakrishna and Gopis’ dance was indeed beautiful. All the members applauded the Valentine’s day program.

Chittaranjan and Mayura Desai and the entire Desai family members who sponsored the sweets and farsan for lunch, were honored by Kantibhai Patel, Vice President of the organization.
Shri Nitinbhai Patel gave detailed information about the proposed Mokshdham in Bensonville village and appealed for donations. $ 15,001 donation was announced by the Indian Seniors of Chicago for the Mokshdham project. Jayantibhai Oza part of Manish Media presented copies of the book ‘Jewels of Gujarat’, which is authored by Shri Chandmal Kumawat and published by Manish Media India, to the members of the executive committee.

This valuable book talks about prominent Gujaratis who have become famous at the world level. Dilip Patel, President of the organization, thanked the volunteers, the Desai family, the participants for the Valentine’s day, and the press reporter and photographer Jayanti Oza.

During the day, Hemant Modi also presented the income and expenditure account for the month of January and announced the names of the donors who donated to the organization.
In the end, all members enjoyed the delicious Lunch.
