On Wednesday, women participated in a special Ganga Aarti at the Triveni Sangam in Uttar Pradesh’s Prayagraj as the ritual served as a rehearsal for the upcoming Kumbh Mela. The event was organized with the aim of promoting no limitations in Sanatana Dharma, according to Pradeep Pandey, a Prayagraj Teerth Purohit. Pandey said, “Today a special aarti was performed. It was a rehearsal for the Kumbh Mela. The boys will perform Triveni Aarti and the girls will perform the Ganga Aarti.”
Anushka Singh, one of the girls who performed the Ganga Aarti on Wednesday, said, “Today’s Aarti was performed by the boys and the girls in coordination. This Aarti will be performed every day during the Mahakumbh from January 11 to February 28 and everyone is welcome to witness it.”
In preparation for the grand Mahakumbh 2025, North Central Railway has introduced special arrangements to ensure the convenience of pilgrims arriving in Prayagraj. Earlier, Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday urged the people to resolve to eliminate the feelings of division and hatred in society as they participate in the Mahakumbh Mela in 2025. The Mahakumbh held once every 12 years, is scheduled to begin on January 13 and conclude on February 26, 2025, in Prayagraj.
Addressing the 117th episode and final episode of 2024, PM Modi said, “The Mahakumbh is going to be held in Prayagraj from January 13. At this time, mammoth preparations are going on at the Sangam banks there. When we participate in the Kumbh, let us make a resolve to annihilate the feeling of division and hatred in society.”
PM Modi said that the Kumbh is the Mahakumbh of unity as there is no discrimination here and everyone is equal.
“For the first time, an AI chatbot will be used in the Kumbh event. All kinds of information related to Kumbh will be available in 11 Indian languages through the AI chatbot. There is no discrimination anywhere, no one is big, no one is small. Therefore, our Kumbh is also the Maha Kumbh of Unity. Devotees will be provided information about government-approved tour packages, accommodation and homestay on their mobile phones,” he said.
He also said that in the 2025 Mahakumbh digital navigation will be available to aid devotees reach different ghats and temples with ease.
Also, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath met Union Home Minister Amit Shah and Defense Minister Rajnath Singh in the national capital on Saturday to extend an invitation for the Mahakumbh 2025. CM Yogi has already extended an invitation for the Mahakumbh 2025 to President Droupadi Murmu, Vice President Jagdeep Dhankhar and other dignitaries to attend the event.

The show will feature 2,000 drones and light up the skies over Sangam Nose, marking the grand opening and conclusion of the world-famous religious gathering. District Tourism Officer, Aparajita Singh stated that the drone show will be held at the Sangam during the opening and closing of the event.
The preparations for the Mahakumbh Mela 2025 have been ramped up as the Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath visited Prayagraj on Tuesday for the fifth time in December to review the preparations for the upcoming event.
During his visit, the Chief Minister also inaugurated the Bio-CNG plant built in the Naini area of the city. The Chief Minister also inspected the key locations such as the Sangam Erawat Ghat, Sangam Noj Ghat, and the newly constructed steel bridge parallel to the Ganga Setu.
In view of the upcoming Mahakumbh event, CM Yogi held a review meeting at the Integrated Command and Control Centre (ICCC) Auditorium in the Prayagraj Mela Authority to review the preparations for the event.
