Chicago Hindu Mahotsav Group NFP celebrated Diwali with more than 100 members and invited guests at Journey of Hope Church in Bartlett IL. Dr. Bharat Barai was present on the occasion to convey Diwali wishes to all the members. This organization has completed 15 years in the year and the Organization’s President for the last 15 years, Shailesh Rajput and Secretary Bela Rajput have been organizing Navratri Raas Garba every year.
At the onset, the lamp lighting ceremony was performed by the grand sponsor Nilesh Thakkar and Pinky Thakkar, Pragnesh and Purvi Shah, Raj Patel and all other sponsors. Shailesh thanked all sponsors namely Horizon Accounting, Maaco car Painting, Dr. Neeta Patel (Dentist), Nilesh Patel (Law Office), Pranav Joshi (Real Estate), Arpan (Decoration), Sync- Power Service Inc and Vimmi (Hanover Park Bank).
During the Diwali celebration, popular singers of Chicago Mihir Acharya and Shaila Khedkar performed Bollywood’s old and latest songs with sound provided by Ajay Makwana. For entertainment, a Kuchipudi dance was performed by Divya Daman.
During the event, Chicago Hindu Mahotsav Group NFP honored the singers’ team, the volunteers’ team and the News media photo journalist, Jayanti Oza. On this special occasion, Jagdish Thakkar (Senior Adviser), Nilesh Thakkar, Shailesh Rajput and Bela Rajput (Oriental Insurance Agency) gave away silver coins to the volunteers. The program ended with a delicious dinner.
