VH1 Sound Nation Awards nominee Manish Bhatt aka X Fader is back with a new single ‘Tere Shehar’ (Your City) featuring Sharanjeet Singh & Ranjha aka Rachit Sood via ‘Janãm’ Entertainment. The track once again represents his unique style of Asian and Urban Fusion. The music video is now live on YouTube and is directed by Soheb Baba (Assistant Director for Kedarnath, Bareily Ki Barfi etc.)
Shot across six locations in Delhi and Gurgaon. The video captures the raw essence of street culture and showcases some of the best Break Dance talent (B-Boy Jin aka Vivek Nainwal and his crew – Hip Hop Elements) that represent one of the first-generation breakers from New Delhi, having started back in 2008.
‘Tere Shehar’ (Your City) is a catchy Punjabi track with a Crunk Hip Hop beat and lyrically it has boasting characteristics which are typical elements of Hip Hop and Rap.
This is the first single from X Fader after a long gap who had moved back to India due to his mother’s health. He lost his mother last year in May after which he has again jumped back into music making as she always encouraged him to do so.
X Fader has recently been interviewed and featured on the BBC, Brit Asia TV, Sabras Radio, UK and Red FM in India across 37 cities. Along with all these platforms, Panjab Radio UK and Asian Star Radio UK are airing the track on regular rotation.
X Fader’s previous track and video, C’mon My People also via ‘Janãm’ Entertainment, was critically acclaimed with The Times of India calling it ‘A new level of fusion’. Along with VH1, X Fader also got support from MTV, 9XO, B4U Music (UK, Europe and Worldwide) Channel AKA, Starz, Clubland TV and Massive R&B. The Music Video also featured on MTV Roots. X Fader has been a BBC Introducing Artist and Radio 1 Play-listed Artist. His previous singles have been premiered and been on regular rotation on BBC Radio 1 (Nihal’s show) along with BBC Asian Network (specialist shows), CJAM-FM (US and Canada) and other radio stations around the world.
