As thousands of devotees, mostly Indian Americans visit the landmark Akshardham temple in the US every day and offer their prayers at the largest Hindu temple in the western hemisphere, BAPS management has introduced a registration system to make their spiritual journey more enjoyable and personalized.

As per BAPS, the Swaminarayan Akshardham temple is possibly the second-largest Hindu temple after Angkor Wat in Cambodia.

Situated in the little Robbinsville Township of New Jersey, the temple is built by devotees, and more than 12,500 volunteers from across the US in over 12 years during the 2011-23 period. The temple was inaugurated last October by its spiritual leader Mahant Swami Maharaj, the present guru and president of the Bochasanwasi Akshar Purushottam Swaminarayan Sanstha (BAPS).

This easy-to-use process is designed to enhance the overall experience – ensuring smoother operations and personalized interactions for every visitor. Reservation to visit BAPS Swaminarayan Akshardham will only be required for visits on weekends, Federal, and Indian Holidays.

By streamlining entry procedures and efficiently managing visitor flow, BAPS aims to reduce wait times, minimize crowding, and create an enjoyable experience for everyone.

Visitors will be required to reserve a spot online before their visit to BAPS Swaminarayan Akshardham in a free, simple, and user-friendly registration process, allowing them to select a preferred date and time slot for the visit. After registration, a confirmation email with all the necessary details for the visit will be sent.

Visitors will be allowed entry no earlier than 30 minutes before and no later than 30 minutes after the time slot.
