2025 IEEE Technical Field Awards goes to Anima and Shrikanth

Animashree (Anima) Anandkumar and Shrikanth Narayanan have made the Indian American Community proud in the USA by begging the prestigious 2025 IEEE Technical Field Awards given by The Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE).

IEEE Technical Field Awards (TFAs) are bestowed for contributions or leadership in specific fields of interest of IEEE. IEEE TFAs are presented by the IEEE President or designee at an IEEE technical conference or symposium as recommended by the relevant selection committee.

Animashree (Anima) Anandkumar has received the IEEE Kiyo Tomiyasu Award for contributions to AI, including tensor methods and neural operators with applications to scientific domains.

Shrikanth Narayanan has received the IEEE James L. Flanagan Speech and Audio Processing Award for contributions to speech communication science and technologies for inclusive human-centered engineering.
