Indian Consulate in NY and World Vegan Vision organised a Yoga Cruise on the East River in New York. Participants immersed in a unique experience, practicing yoga amidst the iconic backdrop of the Statue of Liberty, Brooklyn Bridge, the United Nations, and the Empire State Building. The event was held aboard the Skyline Cruise New York on June 2.
Consul General Binaya Srikanta Pradhan emphasized the profound impact of yoga as a holistic approach to well-being that transcends geographical and cultural boundaries.
New York State Senator John Liu attended the flag-off ceremony and acknowledged the unifying power of yoga in our collective journey towards a healthier and more balanced world.
WVV President Rakesh Bhargav gave the welcome note. WVV Founder HK Shah, shared the organization’s history and mission. Chandra Mehta, vice chairwoman, commended the event and celebrated WVV’s achievements. Senator John Liu presented a citation to HK Shah, expressing his support for International Day of Yoga.
The event concluded with display of yoga asanas led by renowned instructors.
