Now OFBJP USA calls Congress Xenophobic

A major controversy erupted when Pitroda made the remarks during a podcast

Overseas Friends of BJP, USA has condemned the “racist” statement of senior Congress leader Sam Pitroda, who resigned as the chairman of the Indian Overseas Congress. OFBJP said that the people of India will teach the “xenophobic” party a lesson.

A major controversy erupted when Pitroda, made these remarks during a podcast where he cited ethnic and racial identities like Chinese, Africans, Arabs, and Whites to describe the physical appearance of Indians from different parts of the country. Pitroda resigned on Wednesday after his controversial remarks.

“It’s a shame on Mr Pitroda for him to label the people of his ancestral land in a reprehensible racism. Mr. Pitroda, being a technocrat who has been living in the USA, could think and talk as a racist,” said Adapa Prasad, president of OFBJP-USA.

“Mr. Pitroda’s disgusting remarks mirror the regressive thinking of Congress party and its apex leadership,” said Dr Vasudev Patel, OFBJP-USA general secretary. “The Indian Diaspora across the globe is disgusted with this racist line of thinking and Indian people will teach a lesson to the xenophobic Congress Party,” Prasad said.

Satyanarayan Gangaram Pitroda, popularly known as Sam Pitroda was born in Titlagarh in Odisha to a Gujarati family. During the tenure of Prime Minister Dr Manmohan Singh’s prime ministership, he was an advisor on technology missions. Dr. Manmohan Singh’s tenure and for the United Nations. He completed his master’s degree in physics and electronics from Maharaja Sayajirao University in Vadodara. After completing his master’s degree in physics, he went to the United States in 1964 and obtained a master’s degree in electrical engineering from the Illinois Institute of Technology in Chicago. In 1966, he went to work for GTE in Chicago. He is regarded as one of the earliest pioneers of hand-held computing because he invented the Electronic Diary in 1975.
