Another Indian student goes missing in Chicago; family in Hyderabad extremely worried

An Indian student in Chicago, Rupesh Chandra Chintakindi, has been missing since May 2. His family back in Hyderabad is extremely The disappearance of, a 26-year-old master’s student, has got his Hyderabad-based family worried, even as the Consulate General of India (CGI) in Chicago and the local police are trying to locate him. Chintakindi, 26-year-old Rupesh was a master’s student from Concordia University, Wisconsin.

On the lookout for his whereabouts, Chintakindi’s family reached out to his roommates, who informed that he was going to meet someone from Texas. Rupesh Chintakindi had last spoken to his father on May 2. “He went to meet them, but we do not know who they are,” his father was quoted as saying in a report published in The Times of India.

“He said he was doing some work. Later on, I could not contact him, and he is offline since then”, he added.

“The consulate is deeply concerned about learning that Indian student Rupesh Chandra Chintakindi is incommunicado since May 2,” the Consulate of India in Chicago wrote on X, adding it was “hoping to locate/establish contact with Rupesh”.

CGI Chicago is continuously in touch with the police, who are trying to search for Rupesh and has asked the community to provide any information on the Hyderabad-based Indian student.

Recently, a student from Ohio, Mohammad Abdul Arfath, was found dead after he had gone untraceable for a month. Just a week ago, from this incident, Uma Satya Sai Gadde, another Indian student, was found dead in Ohio.
