Ram Lalla’s first Holi Ram Rath Yatra was organized by Vishva Hindu Parishad of Chicago around the Chicago area on March 24th by car rally for Mandir Darshan by more than 13 Mandirs.

Ram Rath Yatra began early morning at 7:30 am from ‘Karya Sidhhi’ Hanuman (Carpenters Ville), Hindu Mandir (Grace Lake), Hari Sumiran Mandir (Long Grove), Hanuman Mandir (Glen View), Gayatri Mandir (Itasca), Hari Om Mandir (Medinah), Hari Dham Mandir (Schaumburg), Jalaram Mandir (Hoffman Estates), Radhey Shyam Mandir (Bloomingdale), Kaival Gyan Mandir (Carol Stream), Umiya Mataji Mandir (West Chicago), Jain Centre (Bartlett), Kali Bari Mandir (Glen Ellyn), Bhartiya Mandir (Merryville, Indiana) and Ram Rath Yatra ended at 6 pm.

Ram Rath Yatra was led by VHPA Amitabh Mittal (General Secretary) and Vice President Vinesh Virani, whereas Ram Rath Yatra was welcomed by Hari Om Mandir’s Brij Sharma (Chairman of Board Of Trustee), Vipan Wadhera (Priest of Executive Board),  Shastri Dharmendra Bhatt, Acharya Ram Naresh Vajpayee.

At the Temples, all devotees played Holi accompanied by the traditional offering of Abil and Gulal as part of the Raag Bhog rituals, sang Holi songs and devotees also danced in front of the Ram Lalla’s idol. As a special gesture, every devotee ate Rice Prashad brought from Ayodhya, India.
