The construction started last year at Gachibowli area in Hyderabad, spanning 3 million sq. ft. of the Google office which is slated to complete in the first quarter of the year 2026. It will be Google’s largest office anywhere outside the US, and its second-largest office worldwide behind the company’s headquarters in Mountain View, California. “Upon commissioning, it will offer a highly skilled tech workforce a healthy, collaborative workplace that is both resilient and adaptable, designed to serve the city for years to come.” Google stated.

The Google office in Hyderabad is being constructed as a climate-sensitive, adaptable shelter. It will use less energy since it has several glass structures. The design indicates that the signature ellipse will be open to the skies and allow sunlight to stream into the structure. “(The Google Hyderabad office’s) porous envelope will help to moderate the local climate, offering relief, shade, light and air to staff and visitors,” according to the British design agency AHMM.

It is also to be mentioned that Hyderabad’s appeal to MNCs extends beyond Google, with other technological giants like Amazon setting up their huge campuses in the city.  This trend makes Hyderabad’s position as a global investment magnet, with its reputation as an IT hub.
