The University of California Merced (UC Merced) has announced the appointment of Ronak M. Jani of The Jani Group of Companies to its External Advisory Board. Jani brings a wealth of experience and expertise in the finance industry to this esteemed university, which provides strategic guidance and counsel to the university leadership.
The UC Merced School of Engineering External Advisory Board (EAB) meets regularly with the Dean of Engineering for the purposes of:
- Assisting the School of Engineering in developing strategic relationships with the engineering and business communities across the state and beyond.
- Improving the school’s responsiveness to the needs of the engineering profession and those organizations employing the school’s graduates.
- Identifying and helping implement development programs necessary to ensure that the school can meet its academic and professional goals in the foreseeable future.
Mr. Jani is a highly respected leader with over two decades of experience in the finance industry. He currently serves as the Managing Director of The Jani Group of Companies, proudly expanding the foundation of his multi-generational family’s business. A compendium of international financial services and venture firms headquartered in New York, while providing worldwide financial solutions.
Jani received his Bachelor of Business Administration in Public Accounting and an MBA in Financial Management from the Lubin School of Business – Pace University, New York. He is a Certified Commercial Investment Manager from with the illustrious CCIM Institute, Chicago, and Certified by the Wharton School of Business – University of Pennsylvania in the Fundamentals of Quantitative Modeling.
His portfolio of work includes over USD$750+ Million worth of commercial development transactions throughout the US, and Banking Instrument transactions well over USD$1+ Billion globally. Throughout his career, Mr. Jani has demonstrated a strong commitment to innovation and entrepreneurship. He is a frequent speaker at industry conferences and has been recognized for his contributions with numerous awards. He has collaborated with multiple Fortune 100 Companies with valuations over USD$10+ Billion within USA and India. He has worked with companies featured in Forbes, Fortune, and Wired magazines.
Jani’s passion for education is evident in his involvement with various educational institutions and initiatives. He served on the boards of The Indus Entrepreneurs ‘TiE’ New York chapter, Rockland County Conservatory of Music and the Lion’s Club to name a few.
