Friends of MP (FoMP) NYNJ, a group of residents of the NY Tristate area, who share their heritage with the Indian State of Madhya Pradesh (MP), recently celebrated its first holiday gala in South Brunswick, New Jersey. The holiday-themed event was attended by diaspora of MP and leaders of different community organizations.
FoMP conveyed its wishes and extended their support to the newly instated government in their home state of India. They also felicitated Juned Qazi (council president), Pragya Singh (Counsel – Visa, Indian Consulate) , community leaders Sunil Nayak, Sanjeev Singh, Anurag Kumar, Paresh Birla, Rakesh Agarwal, Aditi Maheshwari and Akshay Chaturvedi , president ICICI Bank (USA) for being valuable Friends of MP.
TV Anchor Jyotsna Sharma was the emcee at the event. Friends of MP – NY NJ is an informal coming together of residents of NY Tristate area, who share their heritage/affection with Madhya Pradesh (MP). The idea came into being after the “Friends of MP Conclave” in Jan – Feb 2015 organized by the Govt. of Madhya Pradesh in New York. It has now grown to over 500 families. All families at the event received a holiday goodie bag courtesy of MP tourism and FoMP at the event’s conclusion.
