The Consulate General of India, New York & Bihar Jharkhand Association Of North America (BJANA) celebrated Jharkhand Diwas and Janjatiya Gaurav Diwas on 15th-!6th November. Wednesday. The event was organized at November 15, 2023 at the Consulate ballroom. Community members of Bihar and Jharkhand participated in large numbers.
On the occasion, Dr Bhola Nath Rama, Dr Ratnabali Ranjan and Dr Avinash Gupta were felicitated. They are contributing to improving people’s health in Jharkhand through several philanthropic initiatives. The consulate in New York organizes various events significant to Indian diaspora. The Consul General Mr Randhir Jaiswal addressed the members of diaspora present on the occasion.
The primary mission of BJANA is to carry out, promote and coordinate philanthropic, educational and voluntary activities serving physically and economically disadvantaged people in Indian states of Bihar and Jharkhand. The organization integrates Indian communities across North America, who have origins in Indian states of Bihar and Jharkhand, through strong community organization, celebration of cultural festivals and promotion of Indian culture amongst younger generations.
