Megha Desai, president of the Desai Foundation in a social media post recently thanked the whole of NYC for making its 10th Year Anniversary of Diwali on the Hudson the most successful year yet. She expressed her gratitude and felt overwhelmed by the tremendous support, spirit, and in particular the dancing moves of the participants.

Desai expressed her joy while thanking everyone for the incredible support received by the Desai Foundation in surpassing its fundraising goal. With this, she proclaimed that the foundation will be able to do so much more work to empower women and children through community programs to elevate health and livelihood in India and US.

In particular, Desai thanked their incredible team, board of directors, host committee members, sponsors, partners, and friends for making this year the most successful celebration of Diwali.

As per the release, the 10th annual ‘Diwali on the Hudson,’ New York City’s premier (and longest-running) Diwali party and a charity event in support of the organization’s programs, which, to date, have enhanced the health,  livelihood and menstrual equity of more than 7 million women and children in rural India.
