A 24-year-old Indian student has been stabbed in Indiana, US and he is reportedly in a critical condition. Varun was stabbed with a knife in the temple by assailant Jordan Andrade, at a public gym in Valparaiso city of Indiana on the morning of Sunday. As per reports, authorities are still investigating the reasons for the incident.
The attacker has been arrested and is facing charges of aggravated battery with a deadly weapon and attempted murder.
As per the police, the attacker Andrade said that he had requested a massage that morning and walked into the massage room to find the other man, whom he did not know but found “a little weird.”
As per a charging document, Andrade determined that the other man posed a threat, and he made sure to react the “right way.” said the Police.
“Varun was attacked with a knife by his attacker. He was ultimately taken to a Fort Wayne hospital due to the severity of his injury and was reportedly given a 0 to 5% chance of survival. Varun is reportedly in serious condition after the violent attack,” said the report.
