The tallest statue of Lord Nataraja made of ‘Ashtadhatu’ is a big draw at G20

This statue was made in Tamil Nadu seven months time by sculptor Radhakrishnan Sthapaty of Swami Malai. 

As New Delhi gets decorated and looks resplendent amdist the G20 summit being held here from  The statue of Lord Nataraja installed at the the Bharat Mandapam is drawing lot of attention and stands as a testament to India’s age-old artistry and traditions!

The statue will serve as a big attraction at the G20 Summit.

Notably, this 27 feet high statue weighing around 18 tonne forms the tallest statue made of Ashtadhatu!

This Nataraja statue consists of eight metals, also known as Ashtadhatu. It has 87% copper, 3% lead, tin, silver, gold, mercury, and iron. This statue was made in Tamil Nadu seven months time by sculptor Radhakrishnan Sthapaty of Swami Malai. 

The Nataraja is a famous pose of Lord Shiv shown doing the ultimate cosmic dance, also known as Tandava. This pose has very important religious, philosophical, and spiritual significance.

This sculpture has been installed in from of the Bharat Mandapam at Delhi’s Pragati Maidan, where the G20 summit is being conducted this year from September 8 to September 10.  All foreign delegates will gather there to discuss global diplomacy and form policy for international growth. India is hosting the G20 summit for the first time ever with 43 global heads coming together.
