The Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF) taking place this year from September 7-17 has announced the 2023 “In Conversation With…” (ICW) series, featuring prominent artists like Pedro Almodóvar, Lee Byung-hun, Park Seo-jun, and Andy Lau. The series, presented by Visa, brings audiences and cinema enthusiasts closer to these artists through intimate discussions about their creative processes. The lineup spans diverse perspectives and reflects the global landscape of entertainment.

Pedro Almodóvar, renowned for films like All About My Mother and Pain and Glory, will present his short film Strange Way of Life, followed by a conversation about his work’s evolution and themes. Korean stars Lee Byung-hun and Park Seo-jun will converse about their careers and collaboration on Concrete Utopia. Lee’s career bridges Hollywood and Korean cinema, while Park balances TV and film.

Andy Lau, an Asian cinema icon, will delve into his extensive career encompassing television and film with notable works like The Movie Emperor and The Wandering Earth 2. The series aims to illuminate emotional narratives and enrich the audience’s understanding of the artists’ journeys.
