‘Punjab 95’ to premiere at Toronto Fest

Diljit Dosanjh to shine in Jaswant Singh Khalra biopic

The makers of the biopic “Punjab 95” on human rights activist Jaswant Singh Khalra have recently unveiled the new poster of the movie after changing the title.

Diljit Dosanjh, a famous actor-singer who plays the titular role shared the poster across social media platforms recently. The movie which was previously named “Ghallughara” had hit a roadblock because the Censor Board delayed its clearance with a request to change the title and content of the film.

Dosanjh announced that this film had been selected to premiere at the Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF).

As of now, the makers have released the poster with the change of name but have moved the Bombay High Court in protest against the Censor Board demanding 21 cuts and modification of certain dialogues.

The movie is set to be released at its world premiere at the prestigious Toronto  International Film Festival in 2023, creating big excitement among fans and film enthusiasts around this upcoming biographical crime drama creating a thought-provoking cinematic experience.

This film revolves around the life of Jaswant Singh Khalra, a human rights activist residing in Amritsar, Punjab, during a tumultuous period marked by terrorism, when Khalra and many other Sikhs witnessed the harsh reality of police brutality.
