Sri Sri Ravi Shankar, a profound spiritual leader and the founder of the Art of Living Foundation (AOLF), displayed his prowess and hosted the “Sixth Sense” public event at the New Jersey Performing Arts Centre (NJPAC) on July 9th, 2023. The event witnessed participation from prominent US leaders like Councilwoman Council Member At Large, Newark, Louis Scott-Roundtree.

He is well known for valuable insights into life and teachings and is a significant face to offer humanitarian services. Ravi Shankar said, “We get so caught up in our five senses, that we forget about the Sixth Sense which is the mother of all senses.” The renowned guru guided the participants on a ‘Yatra’ towards mental well-being and inner peace through his rejuvenating talk and immersive meditation practice.

The event was a huge success and drew over 2000 participants helping them to discover new ways of communicating with their inner and outside worlds without utilizing their five senses. The captivating music and a preview of the future Olympic-scale World Culture Festival 2023 was very heart-warming.

The event saw participation from a host of dignitaries including the Mayors of Newark, East Brunswick, Borough of Oakland, and council members from various townships. Their presence demonstrated the shared commitment to building stronger communities and promoting a harmonious coexistence among diverse cultures. The participation of more than 150 non-profit organizations and community groups added a much-needed grandeur to the event.

During his multi-city tour across the United States, Ravi Shankar emphasized the necessity of mental health awareness and its role in fostering societies free from violence and stress. AOLF will host the US edition of the World Culture Festival at the national mall in Washington D.C. where 17,000 global artists from all cultural traditions will participate. There will also be offstage activities to nourish the heart, mind, and body.
