Falguni Shah dedicates the ‘Abundance in Millets’ song to alleviate world hunger

Indian PM Narendra Modi has partnered with Grammy Award-winning Indian-American singer Falguni Shah, known as Falu, for a special song to highlight the benefits of millets and their potential to alleviate world hunger.
The song titled ‘Abundance in Millets’ is performed by Falu and her husband, singer Gaurav Shah, to be released across streaming platforms on June 16.
“Prime Minister Modi has written a song with me and my husband Gaurav Shah,” said Falu ahead of the song’s release. She elaborated further that the song, written in English and Hindi, highlights the power of millet and will be made accessible to everybody.
This special song is dedicated to the year 2023 as the ‘International Year of Millets’ which was proposed by India and endorsed by Members of the UN’s Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) Governing Bodies, and 75th session of the UN General Assembly.
