As Met gala and the glitterati continue to splash headlines, with talented Alia Bhatt sizzling in Prabal Gurung pearly gown and Priyanka Chopra flaunting her valentino look.

This year’s star-studded gala held at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York City was themed after the legendary fashion designer Karl Lagerfeld’s contribution to the fashion industry and was titled “Karl Lagerfeld: A Line of Beauty.”

Priyanka Chopra Jonas opted for a Maison Valentino look that featured an all-black strapless dress with a bow and a thigh-high slit. She also wore white leather gloves with a black faille cape and white bows at the sleeves and completed the look with some Bulgari jewels.

The met gala had another Indian connection. The red carpet, which was actually cream with a pattern of rust and blue lines, was designed by Neytt by Extraweave, a kerala design house.

The 6960 square metre carpet was made in 60 days. Neytt by Extraweave is run by Sivan and Nimisha Santosh, the husband wife team
