The Board of Directors of The Indus Entrepreneurs (TiE), a group of businesspeople, corporate leaders and senior professionals in Silicon Valley, has chosen Suresh U. Kumar, a serial entrepreneur and professor of innovation & entrepreneurship at NJIT, to serve as the organization’s president for a 2-year term beginning July 1, 2023.
With Suresh’s appointment, TiE New Jersey is prepared to continue its expansion and reach new heights. He will represent the NJ chapter at the TiEGlobal CM Summit in Rio de Janeiro and Silicon Valley TiECon in 2023.
In addition to his present assignment on the TiE New Jersey Board of Directors, Suresh also served as a member of the Biden-Harris Campaign 2020 Economic Development Sub Committee on Small Business and Entrepreneurship. He was the program’s founding chairman in 2019. He completed his doctorate in 2011 on Asian American immigrants.
TiE Global is a nonprofit organization that supports entrepreneurs in various fields and at all stages of the entrepreneurial life cycle. The five basic programmes that makeup TiE’s efforts—Mentoring, Networking, Education, Funding, and Incubation—have both a global and local focus.
There are currently more than 12,000 members and over 1,800 charter members in 61 chapters in 12 countries. Over the last 25 years of existence, TiE Chapters around the world have become a vibrant platform for entrepreneurs, professionals, industry leaders, and investors to interact with one another & forge long-lasting relationships.
