Tim Cook’s India visit: Creativity on Display!

Not just opening the two Apple stores in Mumbai and Delhi, Tim Cook met many young artists and entrepreneurs who are living their dreams through Apple devices during his India visit

Apple’s CEO had a headline grabbing tour of India. India’s first Apple Store opened in Mumbai on Tuesday, a flagship retail outlet at the Jio World Centre in BKC and the  second Apple Store on Thursday in New Delhi’s Saket. While the opening of these two stores exuded much excitement amongst conaumers, Tim Cook also made headlines for meeting many Apple products customers and looking at their facsinating work they are doing using these devices.

He tweeted, ” Lodhi Art District is a remarkable public space. Congratulations to the St+art India Foundation and so many amazing artists for capturing Indian life so powerfully. And thank you to Dattaraj Naik for showing me how you design your murals on iPad.” The Ipad has been an important tool in bringing these murals to life. The Lodhi Art District is the first of the 6 art districts in India by St+art India Foundation,

Similarly Cook met many other outstanding artists and entrepreneurs who are using Apple devices to make their dreams alive.

He met Mali, a talent budding musician who showed him me all the ways she is  using Apple products to create music—from songwriting with iPhone to developing unique beats on MacBook Pro. Cook tweeted, “I loved the sneak peek of your new song in Spatial Audio!”

Tim Cook met Prime minister Modi to discuss Apple’s comitment to India. He said, “We share your vision of the positive impact technology can make on India’s future — from education and developers to manufacturing and the environment, we’re committed to growing and investing across the country.”

In Mumbai, he also met Pooja Dhingra, a home baker and even spent some time in her kitchen. He tweeted, ” Her passion for baking and the business she’s created is a reminder of what’s possible when you follow your dreams. Great to see how she uses iPhone and Mac in her creative process. Best macaron I’ve ever had!”

Cook met Arati Kadav, a Sci-fi short film maker who created ‘The Astronaut and His Parrot’ a beautiful award winning short film, which is story of hope and connection, using only her iPhone and MacBook Pro.
