18th India Business Conference organized at the Columbia Business School

The South Asia Business Association recently organized the 18th India Business Conference, themed ‘Rewiring India For The Future: Driving Resilient Growth’ at the Columbia Business School. This was a full-day event presented by the State Bank of India, New York. 

In its 18th edition, focused on how Indian businesses are charting a path to sustainable growth, in times of economic uncertainty. More than 25 speakers addressed attendees during the course of the day. Nikesh Arora, chairman and CEO, Palo Alto Networks; Radhika Jones, Editor-in-Chief , Vanity Fair Magazine Radhika Jones; KV Subramanian, executive director, IMF, and ex-Chief Economic Advisor to Govt of India; Vivek Pandit, senior partner and Global Co-Lead of Private Equity Practice, McKinsey & Co., were few key speakers in the conference.

Karthikeya Kumar, co-chair of the conference said the event was back after a 3-year hiatus and that apart from the impressive lineup of private industry speakers, the Government of India representatives were also present.

The conference brought together speakers across panels to deliberate on the topics most relevant to shaping businesses and Indian economy today. The speakers shared their stories, who challenged conventional wisdom and provided insights into the future they are writing about the future of a ‘new’ India.

The Indian Consulate in New York  hosted the India Business Conference Welcome Reception with India’s Consulate General, conference speakers, Columbia students/faculty and some members of the Indian diaspora in attendance.
