Bihar Jharkhand Association of North America (BJANA) held its one of the spectacular annual Diwali event after a gap of 2 years on Oct 24 2021 at Royal Albert Palace in Fords, New Jersey. The event at the ballroom was attended by an estimated more than 500 community members.
The Chief guest for the event was Consul General Randhir Jaiswal and Deputy Consul general Dr Varun Jeph.
Consul General Jaiswal wished all Happy Diwali and said “may this festive season bring prosperity and development in everyone’s life”. He highlighted how BJANA events bring the community close to home and appreciated BJANA’s remarkable effort during the Covid times.
The Deputy Consul general, Dr Varun Jeph, highlighted the event as an ideal occasion and ideal platform to celebrate this early Diwali. He wishes this festive season would bring the wealth and prosperity not only materialistic wealth but the spiritual wealth and mental wealth in every body’s life.
BJANA President Dr Avinash Gupta addressed the guests and told them about BJANA’s fundraising and its charity programs. He thanked chief guests Mr Jaiswal , his team and the NY consulate for all the support during Vande Bharat Mission and this unprecedented COVID times.
Dr Gupta thanked Ramesh Bhatia Foundation who was quite generous in donating the fund for many social causes executed by BJANA back in Bihar and Jharkhand.
The Event was hosted and entertained by Omi Vaidya , Bollywood actor from movie Three Idiots , enthralled the crowds.
The Event was fun filled with cultural programs, including dance by the Kids, women’s group, singing and mesmerizing musical instrument play. There were lucky draws which attendees completely enjoyed. At the same time talented BJANA kids were rewarded and handed over with scholarship awards. Diwali special magazine “Vaishali” was inaugurated, and the kids who contributed to Vaishali were rewarded.
On this occasion, BJANA also honored former President Late Dr. Girija Roy, Professor Narendra Jaggi of Ranchi and Dr. Mithilesh Das of RIMS.
Jam packed event was attended by all the BJANA committee members, past presidents, FIA (Federation of Indian Association) dignitaries and community leaders.
