John Abraham announces release date for ‘Attack’

John Abraham on Thursday announced that his upcoming Bollywood film ‘Attack’ will be hitting the silver screens on January 26, next year on the occasion of Republic Day.

Sharing the new release date, John took to his Instagram handle and wrote, “A hostage crisis that bought the country to its knees! This time the race is against time, get ready for #Attack. Releasing worldwide on Republic Day 2022!” Along with the update, the actor also shared the film’s poster. ‘Attack’ marks John’s third consecutive film to release around Independence Day after ‘Satyameva Jayate’ and ‘Batla House’ which were released around the occasion in 2018 and 2019, respectively.

‘Gangubai Kahthiawadi’ to hit theatres on January 6


Alia Bhatt’s much-awaited film ‘Gangubai Kathiawadi’ will release in theatres on January 6, 2022. Helmed by Sanjay Leela Bhansali, the upcoming project is based on the book ‘Mafia Queens of Mumbai’ written by S Hussain Zaidi, and will showcase the rise of a girl named Gangubai Kothewali, a brothel owner and matriarch from Kathiawad who had no choice but to embrace the ways of destiny and swing it in her favour. Announcing the release date of the film, Bhansali Productions took to Instagram and wrote, “The wait to witness her power, strength & resilience ends. Bringing to you a stem-winding story of #GangubaiKathiawadi on 6th January 2022, in cinemas near you.” The film also stars Ajay Devgn in a pivotal role.

Sunny & Bobby to start shooting for ‘Apne 2’ in March 2022

Veteran actor Dharmendra and his sons Sunny Deol and Bobby Deol will start shooting for ‘Apne 2’ in March next year. Directed by Anil Sharma, the upcoming film is the sequel to the much-loved family drama ‘Apne’. ‘Apne 2,’ will see three generations of the Deol family working together on screen for the first time as it stars legendary actor Dharmendra Deol, his actor sons Sunny and Bobby Deol, and grand-son Karan Deol.

Speaking more about the shoot, director Anil Sharma said, “The film has now been pushed. We will start shooting by March 2022 and are truly excited for it.”
